Last month, Rich Rudow, Dave Nally, Keith Peterson, Matt Jenkins and I had an amazing adventure in the Western Grand Canyon. We don’t believe this canyon had ever been descended before. Pre trip recon indicated one real big drop near the end. We brought a 600 ft. rope for this one. It ended up being a 600 ft. rappel sequence. One 200 ft. drop into a big pothole where we built an anchor for what turned out to be a 400 ft. drop. Packrafts took us to our exit canyon. Here’s a video of the trip. I hope you enjoy it ! :
