My heart goes out to her family and friends! I’m so sorry for their loss, and my prayers are with them all during this difficult time.
It is so easy and natural to use your other hand to hold the rope or the ledge.
I’m sure all of us on this forum have open questions. Why is Birch seeing so many accidents this year? Was she the more experienced person in the group? Why wasn’t she on belay?
