SAR personnel from our team and also teams in NC ran Bonas Defeat yesterday. Due to work being done on the powerplant on the dam that feeds Bonas Defeat, water was at an excellent flow making it a bit more challenging, but also more fun. We had two raps total in the canyon (less than 20 feet each) and another couple of places we used a handline. Several good swims, and we ran the canyon in 5 hours with 10 of us taking our time. Beautiful place.
