Thought you all might enjoy some eye candy from a recent trip to the Sierras & Sequoia National Park!
Flows in the Sierras were lowish…though noteworthy in Sequoia.
Jump typically runs between 5-10cfs and is dam controlled. In past years due to low snowfall the release rates were lowered to 3cfs. We discovered the day before we arrived Pacific Gas & Electric (utility) had shut off water release from the dam to see how much it was leaking. We were verbally told 1.3cfs by a PG&E employee actively measuring the creek as we passed. …Bummer. Still a great time!
Featured canyons: Lower Stevenson, Jump (upper & lower), Chrysalis, North Fork of the Kaweah.

Very cool! In all aspects.
The presence of water (in appropriate CFS) just adds that extra bit of spice….beauty, energy, challenge, acoustics….and on and on.
