Hey, it’s not like Russia will be firing SA-22 surface to air missiles at innocent passenger jets knocking them out of the sky. Oh yeah, that did happen.

  • Well…if Godzilla himself is ripping airplanes from the sky then screw flying…

  • And a quick clip from next weeks show.

The “problem” with infographics is you never know how current the data is until you dig into it.

For instance, one of their references for climbing injuries is data from Yosemite, but only 1970-1990, and lots has changed since 1990! The American Journal of Preventative Medicine did a study in 2009 with data from 1990-2007 that reported climbing injuries increased by 63% over that period)

Infographic source: “Regarding Yosemite trad climbing, the chances of dying when climbing actively every third weekend for two days for a year are: 35 days/year x 2.5 deaths/year / 37,500 climber-days/year or 1/429 (John Dill, article about death and injury in Yosemite 1970 through 1990).”

Of ever existing in the first place. My favorite was the car driving out of the side of the building.
