Teuns and I went up to the base this morning, and did not find any rope or any SAR gear. I left a note at the bottom of the bottom rappel to drop the rope at ZAC if they pull it, so I can ship it back to the owner.

Zampino’s group pulled the 200’er off the Bird Perch and dropped it by here. Shipping to Stephen today.

I just want to say thank you to everyone on here. This community has really been a bright spot during a very dark week.

This is so good to hear. I’m glad that the sense of community that near strangers feel when they come here extends to something beyond simply technical know how or even basic philosophy and ethics. That it affects others in such a meaningful way in a time of tragedy for someone speaks volumes of the collective characters of many of the participants here and that’s a community I’m proud to be a part of.

We decided not to go saturday. Felt it was too risky. So we pulled permits for today and the weather was awesome and the canyon was still slightly flowing. I gave a moments pause and said a prayer as we passed through.

Did you beat the rain storm Mike?

Very heart felt. Thanks for sharing.
Video states he unclipped from one rope to move to another when he slipped.

Don’t believe what inexpert people say on the news… (or elsewhere).
