Other – Canyoneer amputee to attempt Appalachian Trail

Heike Noller, the German born canyoneer who lost her leg after a fall in Montezuma canyon in late 2013, is returning to the US next month. Her first mission is to become the first one-legged woman to hike the Appalachian Trail. She could use a little help making it happen. Her goal is pretty modest for such a huge mission in my opinion. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give to this inspiring gal. Here’s the link…

  • I will help AFTER she returns Care Bear!

  • That will be an impressive achievement. I have a couple of friends that hiked the AT a few years back. Tales are legendary. Flexibility, durability, ad-libbing, trail-mate’s blessing & curse, psychological and physical stamina, etc. There is a site(s) where some of the trekkers file progress reports – makes for fascinating reading.

Good luck to her, I have no doubt she will be successful…tough girl!
