Tried to get into some canyons near Grand Junction but thanks to some private property we were discouraged away. So, that led us to a trip through the Big Wash Loop. Conditions were good; no flowing water anywhere in the technical parts, almost all of the drops had small pools under them, but we didn’t want to mess with any because the mud around said pools was brutal, but we were able to avoid most water without a problem. Total time was around 4.5 hrs, and its nice to see some slings in the canyon from past visitors, indicating to me that people ARE doing this loop, which makes me happy. We even cut out a piece left over from our original recon trip back in 2013. Thanks to Mark C for a fun day out.
