UT: Moab – Bull Canyon (Moab)

We did Bull Canyon north of Moab Saturday. It is a pretty good canyon by Moab standards, but it is no Heaps or Imlay.

It was my first technical canyon in the Moab area, but I hadn’t been back in several years. It has a few neat drops including a nice 95 foot rappel. Unless you arrange a raft to meet you at the mouth or have a packraft, you have to swim the Colorado River to exit the canyon. The swim was really refreshing on a hot day and we took life jackets. Members were Tim Kern, Justin Kuhn, my wife Kimberly, and me.

We did two more canyons over the weekend as well. More will be posted later.
