I didn’t have too high of expectations for this canyon, BUT again the North Wash exceeded my expectations in a grand way! For some reason, I had it stuck in my mind that the Shillelagh canyons were wide open canyons with a big rappel at the start. WRONG! Well there is a awesome rappel at the start that is really fun and cool, but the canyon had some awesome narrows too!
The rappel was one of the highlights of this canyon. It was really cool to stand on top of the cliff and look into the canyon. I truly do love doing that. It is just as fun to see a canyon from the top, as it is to see it from within
