Any one hitting any of these soon (already this spring/winter)? Mostly interested in conditions of the Squeeze?
Planning all three in a trip in the second week of April. I have done Pandora’s (hoping snow is gone on Meek’s and it should be fine) and Strike 2 is last published canyon for me in Capitol Reef which I do not foresee any conditions issues. Not counting miller creek area since that is in GLCA. Poe is now on my get done in May or June list though.

I would be interested in joining you for Squeeze.

They are near Capitol Reef, and you work in Capitol Reef…….Sorry, didn’t know the thread had to be 100% absolutely on track with no room for side question. Didn’t mean to offend.
Sorry again. God bless, no offence…..

I did not mean it in a mean tone (tone is everything and the internet lacks it). I am typing on my phone since my internet is not working very well. The slots your referring to on 1000 lakes: have been done and one is pretty and a popular route. I did work at CARE for 5 year but I am not there anymore, hoping to go back soon-ish. I live in Cedar City now as of last July. There are some good canyons in and around and few hidden gems. I was probably the first through a few, hard to tell sometimes (nothing overall hard or impressive for me). I will PM one I think you may like that only I and two people I brought through it have done.
Paradise will be a bust – but if you want a awesome backcountry trip it is right up there non-technical. Reminds of the east side of Zion but prepare for jumping cacti.

Not sure how that relates to my post. Paradise flats would be a bust for good technical canyons. Nothing there worth exploring, I have been several times more than most.
As for thousand lakes, youwill not first through any of those slots.

Have you looked at some of the canyons that drain off 1000 Lakes Mtn? Theres a couple that drop into Sunglow C.G. that look like they could be holding some slots higher up and possibly big drops at the bottom.
Also down in the area of Paradise Flats. Lots of canyons down there, Ram and some others have said there are no glamour slots, but I’d have to believe there are still some damn beautiful canyons none the less.

I’ll be doing Pandora’s next week on Friday, I’ll let you know how it goes.

I would guess pandora’s is good to go, not much snow left at the Reef. Last Feb, I got to the top and it had flow from the snow melt and wasn’t into wearing a wetsuit/carrying it through pandora’s.
