Wire Pass-Buckskin Gulch-White House Trailhead 24 April

Left Wire Pass trailhead at 7 AM. Solo. Easy to Buckskin Gulch. Water holes started immediately in Buckskin. 10 first hour. 9 second hour, then 2 or 3 each hour until reaching middle entry. Cesspool smaller than I thought it would be, but smelled worse. None of the water holes were over knee deep, but several had extremely deep mud. Met only one person along the route. He was solo and going to wire pass. Said he had come through from Wire Pass two days prior and the water holes were waist deep. Good for me. At the rock jam, went through the rabbit hole, down a tree trunk. A good rope was in place, so good that I was surprised someone would leave a rope that nice there. Thought it easier to go down the hole, rather than up and over and then down, using the rope. The Paria was VERY low, but muddy near the edges of the water flow. Overall, the riverbed was relatively hard packed and easy to walk on up to White House Trailhead. My total time was a little over 11 hours. I had estimated 11 hours and 5 minutes. Took LOTS of pictures and breaks. Saw NO snakes, but attributed that to the cooler weather.
