It’s a conspiracy! Arizona and Colorado are trying to steal some of Utah’s treasures! I just recieved the REI trip catolog for 2004. A trip to the Colorado Rockies next summer is fetured. The promotional photo for the trip: Mt. Timpanogos. I also have an Arizona calender. One month has a picture of Rainbow Bridge and another Buckskin Gulch. If Colorado were to annex Timpanogos, they woould have to take away a significant chunk of Utah to get all the way to the Wasatch. If Arizona tries to annex Buckskin Gulch and Rainbow Bridge, make sure Utahn’s stage a coup and take over the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s all a conspiracy!

Saw a travel poster for Turkey this summer – shepherds, goats, traditional garb, all rather sloppily dropped in front of a picture of Mt Shuksan!

Very interesting since the REI trip was to the Maroon Bells area. So to promote a hiking trip to the Maroon Bells, use a photo of Timpanogos in the Wasatch. To promote skiing in the Wasatch, use a photo of the Maroon Bells. I smell a bigger conspiracy than I first suspected.

Dang! You figured it out. We figured it was the only way to save Utah’s wild mountains & canyons from Leavitt. Good thing you’re a Coloradan now and on the right side. Hah! ‘course our governor, Owens and his makeup are no better.
Anyone in the Roost last weekend? Saw a stream of cars coming out Sat late afternoon. One driver slowed down to see why we were stopped on the road. He gave us quite the frown. Don’t know if it was because we were pulling beers out of the cooler (again) or if he thought we should have pulled further off the road. I’ve never seen that many cars in the roost before. Never felt the need to pull off the road before. -steve
