Yes, spot-on. It was close to a 1000 m to the Cresciano Sup. start and we took the short steep way which was partly (broken) ladders and wires, but I am not sure we saved time to the longer alternative. Definitely lost a lot of sweat. Look forward going to the area soon and to see the other canyons you mention (BTW, did Pontirone Inf. the day before C., short and sweet).

many with 1000 meter (yes, meter) ascents to the canyon head. Very Inspiring, very wet, and laugh-out-loud fun for water lovers.
BTW, IMHO, concurring with the rest of western Europe: 1. Lodrino, #2 Iragna, #3 Cresciano…
Check out these two inks for some canyoning beta (french and multilingual).
I will be hosting a trip there next September 18 -26, 2010 for Zion Adventure Company. We have so many photos and footage from our 2008 “7 canyons in 7 days” event, it would take equally as long just to view them. If I get my act together this fall, I will post some links for the 2008 trip.
Enjoy yourself,
Jonathan

I concur. Cresciano, nesides being a cool village, nestled in the Ticinese Alps, the canyon is amazing, and probably #3 of the top ten in the 40+ donning the local mountains. In Ticino (Tessin) you earn every canyon with the hike in, many with 1000 meter (yes, meter) ascents to the canyon head. Very Inspiring, very wet, and laugh-out-loud fun for water lovers.

Zoiks – they probably wouldn’t let me in – I don’t own that much neon-prene. Brought to you by Addidas. Love the canyons though! Brought to you by Addidas. Never Tobogganed head-first, dunno, seems dicey. Brought to you by Addidas. Nice warning signs – good graphics. Brought to you by Addidas. Mucho Extremo! Brought to you by Addidas.

Great footage but I have to ask….
Am I the only who doesn’t speak the language and wants to do a Mystery Science Theater 3000 voice overlay to mock them?
