Sorry to bother the group with this but my private emails have been unsuccessful. I’ll be traveling up Utah 12 from Bryce through Escalante to Torrey, then across to Hanksville on 24, then down to Bullfrog on 95 and 276.
I’ve never been on these roads and would like to know what kind of time I would need to allow for the trip and any quick sights I should see (Quick means less than 45 minutes or so total to and from the highway) as I’m passing through.
I also see on the map there is a dirt/improved road from Boulder on 12 through the Waterpocket Fold to near Bullfrog via the Burr Trail. Is this passable for a passenger car and how much time would it take if so?
Please don’t respond to this message after 10 or so tonight (Thursday, April 4) as I will be leaving early Friday morning.
You can respond to me as your sense of appropriateness dictates, either via email directly to me at wmbees AT lvcm DOT com or on the group. I coded this BETA because it seemed most appropriate, comments are welcome.

Bill,
The Burr Trail is shorter but probably wont save you any time in a passenger car. It’s about 3 hours from Boulder Utah to Bullfrog either way. I would just stay on the pavement.
A good stop is Calf Creek Falls between Escalante and Boulder. If you bust it you can do it round trip in under an hour.
