I’m still trying to understand the need to biner block when your > main rope is long enough for a double rope rappel at either of those > points, or, you have enough rope to rig double at either of those > points. Just seems to add risk, to me.
Blocks (biners and others) are tools that can be used to solve problems. If you’re not faced with a problem that calls for a block – water, short rope, etc. – go double if you’re more comfortable with it.
