Canyoneering Instructional Videos???

I have started working with ZAC on some instructional videos for canyoneering. Since things are rather quiet, here in the canyoneering forum, I wonder what specific videos people are interested in seeing???

How about an instructional video teaching which side of the rope to rap off? Also, proper falling techniques. I can help with that one if needed…

Maybe, awkward starts? Particularly the sling around the chockstone in the floor of the canyon, where you have to climb over the rock and lower yourself to get on the rope. I haven’t heard much discussion of this topic, but many people have trouble with these (myself included upon occasion) and they are quite common.

Pothole escape video. So many methods to show. Entry and exit from, sequencing, partner assist, captures, tossing methods, contingency and on and on. One video or break down into more than one?

Tom, I think a series of videos would be great. Id like to see a video on ascending (with various tools) and passing knots.

  • How to drill & place a bolt & how to reload your pistol while on rappel.(kidding!)

Building & using various belay anchors. I also like Ram’s idea on pothole escape!
