Will Stauffer-Norris and Zak Podmore for 113 days,”Livin’ The Dream”.
Early on the trip, Zak says something that I think we (Canyoneers/Adventurers) can relate to, “One thing that you think about when you are out doing a trip like this, going from the source to the sea, [is] why are you doing it? You can say you’re doing it to save the river, to have some sort of impact on people’s outlook on why the environment is important, why these wild places need to be protected. But it’s also the call of the journey, the setting out onto the river, just to see what happens. And that’s pretty amazing that our country still has places like that. ‘You can go on The Journey.”
Another great quote made near the end of Lake Mead; “What does a fish say when he swam into a brick wall?” “Dam!”
Thanks, Ram. I REALLY enjoyed this. I think it is very well done and worth the time. Jenny
