Cracked finger tips….was Knee and Elbow Pads

Nuskin (maybe spelled Newskin). Its a combination of antiseptic and a paint on bandage. Its great for split fingertips and cuticles. Its also excellent for larger superficial wounds and scrapes. If you’ve got a owie on an elbow or knee you paint it on (the antiseptic makes it sting for a minute) and it totally protects the wound and you don’t have to screw around w/ bandages. It falls off as you heal or you can paint on more if you’re still sore. It comes in a small bottle with a tiny brush. It doesn’t glue things together. Unfortunately, like superglue, it also makes your fingertips look like you’ve been mining for boogers! SCP

Thanks for the tip. I went and bought some (Nexcare). Review…..Not heavy duty enough for what my finger tips do. The cracks have gotten bigger even with multiple applications during the day. Super glue, with its messy downside still the only thing that works for me.

Actually he had alternating blue and red in March. The man knows how to deal
boredom when his wife paints her nails. Nexcare, huh? What exactly is it? Nail
polish proper? I have been using super glue to the same effect for years, but
at times I threaten to glue myself together and the tubes always seal
themselves up on me becoming useless and wasteful.

    You¹re welcome,

Try it on scrapes rather than splits. Or start earlier on splits.

You can try OKeefe’s Working Hands Cream too. It’s full of unpronouncable ingredients but it seems to stop cracks from forming and heal the existing ones. Glue is good but I’ve always wondered if I could stop the whole syndrome from occurring or stop it in its tracks when my hands begin to disintergrate. This Okeefe’s stuff is the best so far.
