Carabiners Recall???
Recently France recalled several Carabiners (snap-hooks) for via ferrata and other uses including canuyoning, this products are made in the Czech Republic, as shown below.
Does anybody know more about this Recall and Safety Issue? Where we can find more details?
This is the initial information that we have found (week 49-2005): 3 0631/05 France “Via ferrata” snap hook “Singing Rock” Type/model: Via Ferrata (type K) Nos 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19. Country of origin: Czech Republic.
Risk of injury. Risk of premature wear out of the hook’s finger mechanism what might cause that the mechanism will not close again properly. Voluntary withdrawal from sale and recall from consumers by the importer.

I checked on their website and nothing there. FYI here’s what should be on the carabiners, doesn’t really correspond with the recall numbers ?!?
