Have never done Davis, but have done E2 twice. It is a lovely canyon. Colorful, with a couple of raps (including approx. 265 (?) foot entry, off of someone’s bumper), several wades or swims. One pothole that offers about the same challenge, perhaps easier than the one discussed recently in E3. The day is shorter than even E3, so it is a long way to travel just for that canyon, but is well worth it in conjunction with other fare (Usually the Chop/Neon forays for us). A project on the back burner is to go up E3, after a descent of E2. These two canyons have a common confluence. One would head up E3, but would have to bypass the bottom section (Problems could be solved, with time, methinks) and then up the rest of E3. The big rap into E2 can be avoided by going around the left side of the little point east of the canyon head and taking the small drainage down a bit and over to the rim of E2 a couple of tenths of a mile from the big rap. Anchors can be found for a 50 foot rap into the slot nearby. Ram
