YAY!!!! Some of you from Tom’s Summer camp were aware of the poor little skunk that was trapped in Birch Hollow….and Ranger’s subsequent (verbally expressed interest & promise) to my girls and I to rescue the little thing. We came to find out a week later, that no Skunk rescue was ever conducted, and never would be. Well, some people are full of heart when it comes to animals, and I want to give these wonderful gentleman a big hug from me and my girls. Don’t know if they’re on the group, but I think they’re awesome!!!

Randi,
Thought you might get a kick out of this. These guys attended the last ACA courses here a couple months ago. They obviously paid close attention during the blocks of instruction about animal rescue.

Randi (and others who responded). Thanks for the comments. The credit goes to Mike and Rick. They are both soft hearted animal lovers and fun hearted canyoneers. That’s what makes adventures with them so fun. This was a blast (in more ways than one . By the way, with the canyon being outside Park boundaries I’m not surprised that Zion Rangers decided against the rescue. They had an offical excuse. Thank goodness there are people like Ranger Rick.
Rich, I’ve been racking my brain and poring over my notes from our ACA classes and I’m drawing a blank on the Animal rescue block of instruction. I’m sorry I obviously missed that. Do you want my certificate back? 😉
