Went in the morning of April 21, out mid-afternoon April 23. Encountered about two-dozen mandatory pools, but the deepest was at my waist (I’m 5’7″ on a good day). Most were ankle to knee deep. The deepest pool was less than a mile below the Wire Pass-Buckskin confluence. The river is running, but nothing over mid-thigh, although the quicksand in the riverbed can drag you deeper, still, nothing swimming or scary. It was a great trip, one of the best river hikes around. Pictures here if interested: https://picasaweb.google.com/110603041516239163391/WirePassLeeSFerryApril2011#

Dean, great pics! Floated the Paria in 79 & 80 a little earlier(early April and late march, respectively) and hiked WP to WH in June of 88. Buckskin was a bit brisk even then. Brought back many fond memories. As you stated correctly one of the best Thanks Pete
