  • This picture from Obscured By Clouds, in Glen Canyon show Tom in a keeper pothole, holding the water trap, Stevee B. setting the sand trap, that will hold the water trap, from the lip of a 90 foot rappel, into another, sometimes keeper pothole. Brendan looks on and I am providing the hand line for Tom to exit the pothole after the trap is set. This challenging anchor spot was made easy by the new prototype water anchors. The anchor did not budge and then pulled easily after the last person was down

  • Rt to left…Malia, Brian Cabe and the author, Mikey D, AKA Mike Dallin. On top of the 2nd rap in Portland Creek. Word is that this rap didn’t exist last year, but a large chockstone has fallen in, making an old downclimb, a rap now. Mike also explained that changes have occurred in each of the canyon they have done. Big rocks added or gravel scoured being the “usual suspects” in the changes.

I love the home page photo! Somehow I imagined a facial expression a lot like that in Cascade (Ouray) in 2010 when Matt batmanned back up the rope as the flash started to come through on us…Randi, what do you think, about right?
