I think Ram is referring to Lower Jump &Â the fact that you have to cross through the power house in order to exit. Crossing that property and climbing a fence. Â I was there on that trip with Stevee B and Chris, and there was some disagreement on whether posting beta on this particular canyon was a wise decision. Â And *all* these jump trips are very FUN! With Lower Jump being the more serious fun of the three! : ) YMMV Â Â

Definitely “Canyon of the Dammed”, a.k.a. Upper Big Creek (I was on > the trip).

I’m sure fisherman and climbers have covered most of the canyon many times before. We simply called it Big Creek Canyon.
I’m not aware of any private property issues in the area…no fences were crossed and parking at both ends was at public access. It’s a good destination as another canyon is immediately adjacent and others nearby. A good area for late in the year, but not during spring runoff.

Yes I agree with Sati, when we did it several years ago and we called it Big Creek Canyon. It runs between Huntington Lake and the Power House. I see Kirchoff Dome in the background in several of the pictures.

Hey – it’s just Upper Jump, but I did put a few pics out a while ago – in folder cleverly labelled ‘Upper Jump’ if you’re interested.
