EDGE OF THE CEDARS STATE PARK MUSEUM, AND THE UTAH SITE STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM PRESENT

AN EVENING WITH KENT FROST, AUTHOR OF MY CANYONLANDS

A FREE lecture on Saturday, February 28, 2004, 6 p.m.

Blanding- Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum, in partnership with the Utah Site Stewardship Program presents an evening with Kent Frost. Long-time Monticello resident, Kent Frost is the author of My Canyonlands, an account of lifelong exploration of San Juan County prior to the advent of roads. In this lecture Kent Frost will recount his interactions and adventures with the land and people in this remote corner of the Southwest.

In his book he writes:

“I have had the rare experience of being a frontiersman in the 20th century… with a foot in each era.”

Kent Frost’s life was spent satisfying his insatiable curiosity about this land through extensive hiking. Join us at Edge of the Cedars to listen to the stories only a man who has spent his life in pursuit of the unknown landscape could tell.

This FREE event is made possible through a grant from Utah State Park, Utah Humanities council, State Historical Preservation Office, and the Utah Site Stewardship Program. Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum is located at 660 West 400 North, Blanding, UT 84511
