Known locally as “Radar Ray” and regularly lampooned by many locals, it is good to see that his skills and training have proven valuable to the community. If you listen to the townies, he doesn’t do much more than write tickets to tourists and create a bit of local drama. Good on ya Ray. We saw the choppers that day and knew something strange was afoot at the Circle K.

Yes, there is.
According to the link to the actual article, not the one Backcountry linked to, the CNN article the article that Backcountry linked to linked to, there are more details. Including that the SAR guy from Boulder, Ray, had just completed specialized training in SAR for autistic individuals.
