my thanks to Jeff and Sue of Oakalnd for taking wife Judy and I out for a day of canyoneering fun: hiking, jumping, rapelling etc in a granite walled canyon. I have to say that rapelling into a dark grotto formed by canyon walls and overhaging humongous chockstones with water coursing all around you was awesome.
My first time on 9mm Imlay rope – I like it.
Not so impressed with my ATC-XP in high friction mode – too grabby. Although you can always use it reversed – which works fine.
Jeff and Sue had Piranhas for their descenders- they looked intriguing
