2012 Seasonal Closure of North Rim’s undeveloped roads.
On Sunday, Nov. 25th NPS rangers will close backcountry roads leading to Point Sublime and Swamp Point and the North Bass Trailhead. (between H67 (Widforss) Trailhead and Swamp Ridge Road)
After this date hikers can still access the North Bass Trail but they will need to be prepared to hike or ski no less than 6 miles in order to reach the North Bass trailhead. Backcountry Permit required.
