Review: Imlay Gear Potshot

I’ve had mine for about a year and a half now, and it is a highly worthy piece of gear. It’s been excellent thus far for its main purpose of throwing; I’ve found it to be the ideal size. No real durability issues, and the burly handles inspire confidence when yarding on it. It also works as an excellent rope bag for my 100′ nine mil, or for my 200′ pull cord. (I sewed a small webbing loop to the inside for tying rope ends.) When not in any of these uses it makes a good bag for your emergency hook and drill kit, and the live green with yellow accents is fashionable. Two thumbs.

Agreed. Just wonderful. We found ourselves in a spot recently where we considered burying one as a deadman (Nothing else available). We found ourselves wishing that it has a sewn loop on the side. Just a small one so we could tie off the thing buried on its side. That would be more secure buried. Tom, thoughts? R
