Rope taken from Englestead

We had done the canyon on the afternoon of 8-28-08 and when we returned to the drop in the next morning our 300ft Sterling rope as missing. I was hoping that someone might have accidentally taken it not knowing that we are coming back the next morning (8-29-08) to pick it up from the top. We checked with the rangers and nobody had bought a permit for the canyon on that morning. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Anyone know if these the correct numbers to call?

    Hope you find your rope.

Sorry to hear that, Jaime. Usually when we have left a rope there, we leave a detailed note firmly attached to it to let people know who we are and when we will be back to retrieve it, and permission for anyone to use it that comes along. Haven’t had any problems yet. Hopefully as you said it was an oversight by someone and you are able to get it back.
