Segers Hole (Squeeze) Conditions?

Planning a trip to the swell over thanks giving. If the weather cooperates we are planning to do Segers and Quandary.

How is the waters in Segers? Assuming less then normal given the drought this year?

Any current or semi current conditions appreciated!!

Ryan

  • Segers? An older name, provided by the first descender Steve Allen is “The Squeeze.” Here are photos of it from October 11th. https://picasaweb.google.com/aramv14/WFWRSqueeze10101112 A fair bit of water then. Please note that there was a major region wide storm on the 12th and 13th and the canyon flowed for certain. With it later in the year, with lower sun angles and the canyons somewhat west to east track, what water that disappears, will have disappeared in to the sand. I would go with the expectation of lots of water, yet the need to solve at least one or two keepers. The raps are next to water, so expect a cold experience and plan for it. GREAT canyon. Ram
