After doing a week of slot canyons I am driving from the south rim of the Grand Canyon to Havasupai Indian Reservation and hiking to Supai Village. The traditional driving route would involve driving south on highway 180 to west on I-40 and then NE on indian road 18 to the hilltop. It seems as if I can eliminate about 150 miles if I turn west on a dirt road approx. 10 miles south of Grand Canyon City and turn NW to connect up with indian road 18. Does anyone have any information on these roads? Thanks, Tom Alexander
