OK, Aaron called. They headed up to the trail head this AM, realized they forgot a harness, a helmet etc., went back to the site. The dogs were there but no longer hanging under the mid. A little distraction and they grabbed, crammed gear and fled. Then the phone was dead so they didn’t notify that they had gotten the gear, so when it rocks were discovered and the gear gone…..lets just say i got to meet a lot of nerw folks on the phone today. Sorry about that concern. A bit embarrassed.
As for the rocks blocking the road, it remains a mystery and one the BLM will pursue. Strange day indeed.
