Smith Fork round up

Hey.

Friday we did that “little fork woodruff” Kelsey describes. Its 120 feet long. Then we did Woodzy. It was slightly longer.

Saturday we started with Psycho D, and then Luke and I went and did Downward Spiral after. This was a special 7 year anniversary trip for Psycho Doug Noel, one of the original flake hangers. His first time back. It was cool to see and hear his story as we went down canyon. Chilly swim at the end btw. Downward Spiral was kinda neat. It ends right near the lake. There was a beaver dam and many beaver chewed logs in Smith. I at first, was not a beaver believer, but soon realized it was indeed true.

Sunday we started up Smith fork and did Wormhole. It was short and real fun. The downclimb into the silo is intimidating but not bad. Some of the highest stemming happens right below the north rim of the canyon. I tried to imagine Aaron and Landon trying to solve the slot first time, must’ve felt pretty wild. It was hot as hell and I was getting sick so we just did the lower end of Pothoez. The upper keeper was pretty far down from where it was durring freeze fest. The potshot toss seems just about bomber anywhere it lands though.
