2004 would be great. There was more snow in 2004 than now but the thaw started late March and the Narrows opened in mid May. Doesn’t look like the big thaw has started this year yet. I’d expect the thaw to start in a more normal time frame mid or late April, as it did in 2008 & 2009.
Right now there is more snow than 2008 & 2009. In those years the Narrows opened 26 & 27 of May. I’m guessing June 3-5th for this year unless there is much more snow or the thaw starts earlier/later than mid April.
In 2005 the snow pack was epic. Much more snow than this year. The thaw had already started but the Narrow didn’t open until July 8th.
