Spidey you are too kind. Really, I blush. I wish that this first impression would linger a while. I have my share of snark as others can attest and that you will soon discover.
Speaking of highlights of the evening; besides finally meeting The Spideyman, other awesome encounters for me were:
The gravely voice behind me that introduced himself…please refresh my bad memory. (You know Ms. Curry and others.) Your name and comments, please.
Also Landon and his lovely bride Holly (who lurks with an impressive canyon resume but rarely posts). Speak!
The always sparkling Ms. Alicia was in attendance and offered a set of functional headlights for Mr. Jones to follow home.
What about the tall man in the doorway? Was that you Shane?

The slide show was awesome!  I would have to say in terms of screen time, Ram you were the star.  For a moment it was in fact looking like we would not be able to accommodate everyone, but we ended up being just fine.  Cozy with each other, but we all had somewhere to sit or at least stand.  As for me the highlight of the evening other than the slide show, was meeting the fabled Jenny finally.  She is in fact just as sweet and pleasant to be around as legend suggested.  She introduced herself by walking up to me and informing me she was looking for a crazy character named Spidey.  Thank you Jenny for the great pre and post slideshow discussions, I can’t wait to get out and experience the wilderness with you.  The other great thing for me was re-connecting with Tom.  I haven’t seen him in a while, and I’m not much of an e-mail kind of guy I like to hear peoples voices.  As such I haven’t talked to Tom since probably Poe. Because HE NEVER ANSWERS MY PHONE CALLS.  It was a treat to actually talk to him again, and to talk to Jenny for the first time.  All in All a wonderful evening, around a great slideshow and presentation.  Thanks Tom.  Thanks to all who came.               Spidey

I was there. I can report that although Ram was not, he was surely talked about. In fact you, Ram, were at least a co-star if not the star. A review you ask? The place was packed. Spidey was there and I caught a glimpse of a canyon celebrity named Shane (correct?). While Tom’s computer put up a valiant battle for control he moved gracefully around the glitches with only the occasional growl. Tom’s sense of humor was the most stellar attraction of the evening. His photos and commentary were sandwiched between two of Dan Ransom’s fabulous video clips. The evening offered entertainment to the seasoned canyoneers in the group as well as wonderful bait for the neophyte. Tom’s truck sat wounded in the parking lot after another encounter of the close kind with one of Bambi’s clan. Hopefully he made it it home safely through the maze of flashing lights northbound of I-15? Others? What say you? I know you are out there!
