If these are the bolts I’m thinking of just to the right of the big hanging pool (the photo was of something else), I don’t know who placed them, but they do provide a really beautiful rappel down a clean dihedral, right next to the waterfall, which I think is actually a better alternative than the low angle 200′ rap off the tree. That rap is so low angle it’s hard to get the ropes down in one throw, necessitating stopping several times on the way down to rethrow them. It also allows the option of using shorter ropes (150′) if exiting at the lower penstock. I’m not advocating placing excessive unnecessary bolts, but I do think staying fairly close to (or into) the watercourse (as apparently they do in Europe) is a viable option. We did 8 raps – Jef
