what shirt and pants…who needs clothing?

A few years ago me and a good friend of mine did quandary direct. My good friend brought along a friend of his we’ll call Steve. At the first keeper Steve proceeds to remove ALL of his clothing, and did the remainder of the canyon with a bandana wrapped around his nether-regions like a loin cloth. His claim was that it was the most comfortable way to descend the canyon because clothing held water close to the body, sapping body heat. His point was further illustrated when at the end of the canyon my friend and I were shivering, and he was doing great. Spent a lot of time averting my eyes that day.

Luckily noone else was in the canyon.

what shirt amd pants do you prefer and recommend for canyoneering in hot weather with multiple swims

material, barnd, short or long sleeves, shorts or long pants?

what do you recommend where there is lots of brush and maybe even poison oak?

Has anyone tried using a windshirt as a shirt, it dries quickly, though doesn’t drain well.

That would be the most inexpensive way to go.
